The Big Pilot’s Watch 43 combines iconic design with superb movement technology and pronounced versatility in an ergonomic case diameter of 43 millimetres. No other model expresses the fascination of IWC Schaffhausen aviator’s watches like the Big Pilot’s Watch. Its purely functional cockpit-instrument design and oversized conical crown were inspired by a military observation watch from the 1940s. The Big Pilot’s Watch 43 is a faithful interpretation of this original design without any additional elements on the dial, and in a 43-millimetre stainless steel case that combines an amazing presence on the wrist with maximum wearing comfort. This model features a black dial, rhodium-plated hands and a brown calfskin strap. Visible through the sapphire glass case back is the IWC-manufactured 82100 calibre. The Pellaton winding system has been reinforced with ceramic components and builds up a power reserve of 60 hours. The practical EasX-CHANGE system and a choice of straps in calfskin, rubber or stainless steel provide a high degree of flexibility. Combined with the now 10 bar water-resistant case, this transforms the Big Pilot's Watch 43 into a modern, fully versatile sports watch. Made in Switzerland

About the Collection

In 2016, IWC took a step back towards the roots of the Big Pilot’s Watch and gave it a gentle facelift. The IWC-manufactured 52110-calibre movement unites some of watchmaking’s greatest achievements. It features an efficient Pellaton automatic winding system with parts made from black or white ceramic. With the help of two barrels, it builds up a reserve of 7 days. The display at “3 o’clock” indicates the time remaining until the movement comes to a stop. The Big Pilot’s Watch has a date display at “6 o’clock” and the central seconds essential in any watch used for flying. The 46-millimetre case, which is water-resistant to 6 bar, encloses a soft-iron inner case that protects the movement against magnetic fields. The watch also features a striking conical crown. The legendary Junkers JU-52 plane is engraved on the case back of the Big Pilot’s Watch. This model comes with a black calfskin strap, which perfectly complements the watch.

Custom Orders:

Delivery of Custom Made, Engraved and/or non-standard size items can take 3-8 weeks. A Padani representative will contact the customer in order to advise regarding the accurate time to delivery.

Returns and Exchanges:

Unworn items can be can be returned within 7 days, in the original packaging and accompanied by the purchase receipt, for a refund.
